Anmol Chander BDS (Hons) MFDSRCS (eng) DipImpDentRCS(eng) – GDC no: 79746
Anmol graduated from Guys, Kings and St Thomas Hospitals in 2001with distinction. He subsequently returned to Guys and gained vast experience in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, training with leading consultants in their field. After some gruelling exams, Anmol was awarded membership to the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Anmol has been practising in Staines for the past 9 years and has continued to attend numerous post-graduate courses in order to keep fully up to date with the advances in aesthetic, reconstructive and implant dentistry. He has undertaken a series of courses at the world famous Pankey Dental Institute in Miami which focuses on providing predictable and comprehensive dentistry for those patients who require more extensive treatment. Further to this, Anmol has successfully completed the prestigious Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Anmol is keen to help nervous patients through dental treatment and is fully trained to provide intravenous sedation should it be necessary.
He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons, Society for the Advancement of anaesthesia in Dentistry, association of Dental implantology and the British Dental Association and the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry.
Dr Raman Aulakh BDS (Birmingham) MSc.Orth (Aarhus) – GDC no: 74461
Dr Raman Aulakh is a specialist in orthodontics. He qualified from Birmingham Dental School in 1998. He has taken and passed examinations with the Royal College of Surgeons and holds a certificate and MSc in orthodontics from the Royal College of Aarhus, Denmark.
As well as the numerous practising commitments, Raman is a post graduate lecturer at King’s College and a visiting lecturer at the University of Aarhus Orthodontic department and a clinical orthodontist therapist trainer at Warwick University. Raman is a Platinum provider with Invisalign and teaches his students on how to use the Invisalign system and other clear aligner systems in clinical practice.
Raman is a true believer of Face driven Orthodontics which means looking at the facial physiognomy as part of the treatment plan before guiding the teeth in the right place. This allows you to bring harmony to a patients face with their teeth.
Alix Davies BDS Hons MFDS RCSEng MJDF MClinDent Endo MEndo RCSEd, Specialist in Endodontics, GDC No 85852
Alix graduated from Guy’s, King’s and St. Thomas’ Dental Institute in 2005. Among her other prizes and distinctions, she was nominated for the prestigious University of London Gold Medal. After appointments in General Practice and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, she served in the Royal Army Dental Corps, both in England and Germany. Alix attained the rank of Major before leaving to complete Specialist training in Endodontics at King’s College London. She was awarded a Master of Clinical Dentistry degree in Endodontics with distinction and also attained her Membership in Endodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Alix’s research interests and publications have focused on the use of specialised imaging techniques to assist in diagnosis and management of endodontic problems. Her most recent research has involved assessing the outcome of endodontic retreatment. She has presented at National and International Conferences and is also a reviewer for the International Endodontic Journal. Alix also provides Endodontic training to Postgraduates on the MSc course at King’s College London.
Alix will accept referrals for root canal treatment, retreatment and endodontic surgery.
Bhavin Pitamber BDS (Rand) MSc (Clin. Perio.) – GDC no: 78285
Bhavin qualified at the University of the Witwatersand in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2000 with awards in General Medicine, General Surgery and Operative Dentistry. He has always been passionate about dentistry and especially Periodontology and its related disciplines. ln 2007, Bhavin embarked on formal postgraduate studies, which culminated in an MSc in Clinical Periodontology in 2010. He has attended extensive post graduate courses in Europe, the UK, the USA and South Africa and enjoys keeping abreast of contemporary concepts and techniques.”His areas of areas of interest include surgical periodontology, particularly treating gingival recession (receding gums), periodontal plastic surgery and regenerative procedures. He also provides crown lengthening procedures for aesthetic and restorative procedures. Dr Pitamber has also been involved in restorative implant dentistry since 2002 and surgical implant dentistry since 2008.
Alison Mitchell BChD (Leeds) MFGDP (RCS eng) – General Dentist
Alison graduated from the University of Leeds in 2004 where she was awarded the prize for her work in restorative dentistry. She completed her vocational training year in Berkshire and then established herself in a busy practice in south east London where she had worked for the 9 years prior to joining our team. In this time she has completed a diploma in general dentistry and was awarded membership to the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
She is keen to continue further postgraduate training and is currently in her final year of an MSc in Endodontic Practice at the Royal London Hospital. She is a member of the British Endodontic Society and Facualty of General Dental Practitioners.
She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and aims to treat her patients in a calm and caring environment.
Dr Aman Ruprah (General Dentist) BDS, MFDS RCS (Edin)
Aman qualified from Guy’s, King’s & St Thomas’ Dental Institute in 2008. He recently joined the team here at The Staines Centre of Dental Excellence. Alongside cosmetic dentistry, he focused and applied his skills in facial aesthetics. He is able to offer an extensive range of non-surgical facial aesthetic procedures using well known effective and safe products such as Azzalure & Restylane. In addition, Aman has had further extensive training in advanced facial aesthetic techniques to date.
Aman has had formal training from the well-recognised Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry (SAAD) and has a keen interest in treating nervous and phobic patients.
He uses a variety of advanced sedation techniques with IV Sedation & Oral Sedation used as a combination for needle phobic patients. These treatments have been carried out by Aman with great success and popularity since 2008 and our patients have given us very positive and excellent feedback on their experiences.
Aman is a member of the British Society of Restorative Dentistry and the British Society of Occlusal Studies. He is committed to postgraduate education and has completed all the examinations required to become a Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons (MFDS).
Yasmin qualified at Guy’s Hospital Dental School in 1988.
She has considerable experience in many different areas of dentistry, in particular orthodontics and complex oral rehabilitation cases and is very good with nervous and phobic patients.
Being a nervous patient herself, Yasmin believes in treating her patients in the way she would like to be cared for. She enjoys the opportunity to ‘make a difference’ to her patients’ smile and their dental health, no matter how simple or complex the care needed.
Early ‘interceptive’ orthodontic treatment for children and improving adult smiles are areas that Yasmin is particularly passionate about. Yasmin regularly visits the USA for courses in the latest dental techniques and is on teaching faculty and the Advisory Board of The Pankey Institute in Florida. She also sits on the National Panel of Examiners for the Certificate in Dental Sedation Nursing.
Recently Yasmin was awarded a Fellowship in the International Academy of Dental-Facial Esthetics. This award is by invitation to those dentists, physicians and members of the cosmetics/dental industry who have distinguished themselves in their respective professions.
She is also currently completing a Masters (MClinDent) in Orthodontics.
